North Macedonia
North Macedonia is a tiny country in the heart of the Balkans.
even though it’s small, the country is filled with history and culture, and there’s a lot you can experience. It is home to many mountains (more than 30 exceeding 2000m) and is a great place for hikers, but also paragliders, especially in Krushevo - the paragliding hotspot. It’s also home to Kokino - one of the world’s oldest astronomical observatories (19th century BC) that is also recognised by NASA. The Macedonian cuisine is the best in the world (a proven fact đ) - I mean, we have Ajvar, do you even need anything more?

Skopje
Skopje is the capital city of North Macedonia.
It’s a fun mixture of old and modern culture: from an antique site (Scupi) dating from Roman times, to the old Bazar from the Ottoman times, to today’s buildings. In the suburbs of Skopje lies the Matka Canyon - one of the best natural sites ideal for kayaking and exploring, which is also the home of the one of the deepest underwater caves: Vrelo. Skopje is also the birth place of Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu - today known by the world as Mother Teresa.
Ohrid
Ohrid is a town situated on the Ohrid Lake - Europe’s oldest natural lake (and one of the deepest).
If the beaches and bars aren’t enough to make it a great place for the summer, there is also Ohrid Calling - a summer festival that has hosted many famous DJs like Hardwell, Vini Vici, Robin Schulz, Like Mike and Dimitri Vegas. Ohrid is also the home of 365 churches - one for every day of the year. A not very known fact is that the Cyrillic Alphabet originates here. It was created and taught by St. Clement of Ohrid who named it after his teacher Cyril. It remains until this day the official alphabet of North Macedonia.
